Coloring Will Always Be Cool: How to Relax Without Electronics

Hi.

coloring is cool ok

As you may know-- If I’m not by my phone at all times. It’s an issue. I’m aware of it.

The internet is my savior.

Fight me.

However. It’s good to take a step back every once in awhile.

What I like to do, is sit in my sanctuary, put on relaxing music....

and color.

coloring is funnnnnnn

Who says coloring is only for kindergartners?

@@We MUST take breaks from the light of our screens. Why not take a moment to relive part of your childhood that you PROBABLY missed anyway?@@

I realized how genius this was when I came across this Buzzfeed article. Obviously I immediately  bought twistables [link] , a great marker set [another link] and some adult coloring books.

PROS OF COLORING:

  • It’s a innocent enough activity—while creating something beautiful.
  • The simplicity of only focusing on which color you’re going to fill in the next circle with.
  • It’s a great way to unwind after a particularly strenuous day.. for your brain.
  • Electronics keep you wired. Try this as a pre-bedtime ritual.

CONS OF COLORING:

  • Lol none.

COLORING BOOKS I currently own (and you should too):

ANOTHER REASON I LOVE COLORING:

I never perfected the art of coloring inside the lines. This is an excuse to practice.

So.

Buy a book, color it in—decompress.

I challenge you to COLOR this week (and yeah artists that are talented as heck, that means
you too)

dear adults you can color too

If you DOOOO color something take a pic and send it to me!

SONG OF THE POST (i think i'm hilarious):
